Dallas Dance Photography
A few weeks ago I had the privileged of shooting with Camille Sutton from Zion Dance Project. She has been dancing since before she could walk and it shows. Zion Dance Project’s mission is to provide professional dancers the space and opportunity to present faith filled art for the kingdom of God. The talent of these dancers is unparalleled. Camille and I met at poetry night through UPPERROOM and knew we wanted to create something special together.
The skyscrapers in Dallas are hard to beat when it comes to landscapes. If you are looking for one of the best spots for photoshoots in downtown Dallas, I highly recommend searching for any and all rooftop parking decks! You will get the best views of the city.
Check out these next few photos to see what I mean:
If you are a dancer in Dallas, I suggest having consistent, fresh, and new content to showcase your skills. Bringing a few outfits and your best poses to a photoshoot is a great way to get tons of content in a short period of time.
Don’t forget to grab plenty of dance images in black and white to create a more dramatic effect!
We took a few more shots on the Downtown Dallas rooftop parking deck and then decided to go to the Dallas Opera House for some more photos.
The courtyard in front of the Winspear Opera House is an incredible place for dancers to come and practice!
Lastly, if you are a dancer in Dallas, don’t forget to get a few headshots with your photographer! Yes, dance poses are extremely important, but you can never have too many headshots. Check out Camille’s headshots below for inspiration. We wanted a mix of professional and creative shots.
